Answer: Founded in 1946, The American Immigration Lawyers Association (AILA) is a nonpartisan, not-for-profit organization that provides continuing legal education, information, professional services, and expertise through its 38 chapters and more than 50 national committees. With nearly 700 members, AILA South Florida is one of the largest chapters in the nation. Known for being one of the countrys most respected and innovative, AILA South Florida was honored by AILA National with the Gold Level Chapter Excellence Award for 2012-2013. AILA South Florida works hard to facilitate the administration of justice for immigrants in our legal system. Our members are well-versed in all aspects of immigration law, including naturalization, deportation, asylum and employer sanctions. We promote positive reforms in immigration and nationality laws, and our members elevate the standards of integrity, honor, and courtesy both in and outside of the courtroom.
