Answer: ArwayLong Grove Confections is a family-owned, Chicagoland-based business that has more than 70 years of history as a manufacturer of high quality bulk and specialty gourmet confections. From chocolate enrobed pretzels to honey-toasted pecans...caramel cashew myrtles to yogurt covered raisins...Arway-Long Grove makes hundreds of items that help its customers delight consumers across North America. Arway Confections opened in 1950 when Sears Roebuck & Co., the largest retailer in the United States at the time, became Arways first customer. The company has steadily grown since and has expanded its customer base to serve hundreds of distributors, retailers, nut companies, baggers, catalogs, and food companies nationwide. Long Grove Confectionery started in 1975 as a retail business in the quaint village of Long Grove, Illinois. The original Long Grove Confectionery, a retail shop and candy kitchen, was housed in a replica of a red schoolhouse. After a successful ten years, Long Grove moved production to a new facility in nearby Buffalo Grove. While the Long Grove Village still houses a retail store, the Buffalo Grove location is home to production, factory tours & and a factory outlet store. In 2013 Arway Confections purchased Long Grove Confectionery. Arway-Long Grove now operates manufacturing plants in Chicagos Northwest side and Buffalo Grove, IL employing more than 300 associates. Together the two plants offer a multitude of production capabilities including enrobing, panning, copper kettle cooking, depositing, extruding, roasting and molding. Packaging capabilities allow for flexible assembly, bulk wrapping, flow wrapping and bagging along with a variety of gift worthy packaging, special shapes, point-of-sale & shipper displays, and retail club packs. Arway-Long Grove believes that higher quality products plus better customer service drives value. This formula has worked throughout the companys history and remains central to Arway-Long Groves approach.
