Answer: Center of Hope (Haiti) ("COHH") operates a school in Hinche, Haiti, to educate the children in the community who are least able to afford the usual school fees, and come from the most vulnerable families. We also provide residential care to orphaned children. Students are provided with everything they need to attend school, from backpacks to uniforms to supplies. They also receive two meals each day, which are often the only meals they will receive that day. Our school is unique particularly because of the small class sizes (just 15 students per class) and hands on learning style that emphasizes group work. Unlike other schools in the community that assign children to either a morning or afternoon session, our students attend school from 7:30am to 2:30pm and we offer a summer session for enrichment and to provide extra tutoring. For the 2017-2018 school year, we have almost 100 students enrolled in grades 1 through 7, and we will be providing care to four orphans.
