Answer: Everyone should have access to sustainable, dignified transportation. The Central Indiana Regional Transportation Authority (CIRTA) is dedicated to improving transportation options throughout the Central Indiana region. Our mission is to connect people to opportunities in areas including Marion, Hamilton, Hancock, Shelby, Johnson, Morgan, Hendricks, Boone, Delaware, and Madison counties. We work closely with rural and suburban transit providers to increase efficiencies, obtain funding through federal grants, and work with state legislators to dedicate funding to transit. We are also committed to educating the public, especially employers and employees, about sustainable transportation options through our Transportation Demand Management (TDM) program. Commuter Connect, a service of CIRTA, is in place to spread awareness about transportation alternatives like carpool or vanpool, telecommuting, biking, and riding the bus.
