Answer: Eldora Speedway is a high-banked 1/2-mile clay oval racing complex located just north of Rossburg (population 201) in Darke County, Ohio. With Mercer County just a few miles north and Indiana approximately 10 miles west, Eldora sits at the crossroads of some of America's most fertile agricultural communities. Affectionately referred to as The Big ETM, Eldora is owned by motorsports entrepreneur and NASCAR, IndyCar, and USAC champion, Tony Stewart, who purchased Eldora from its legendary founder and promoter, Earl Baltes, in late 2004. Baltes and his wife, Berneice, opened Eldora Speedway on June 6, 1954 and had been the sole owner of the facility from day one. The World's Greatest Dirt Track is home to early June's Dirt Late Model Dream Weekend, mid-July's Kings Royal Weekend, and The Biggest Dirt Race In The WorldTM - The World 100 Weekend; each of which attract over 20,000 spectators for the multi-day extravaganzas.
