Answer: EMS has been an industry-leading expert on Pratt & Whitney turbo-engines since 2003. This includes turbo-fan, -prop and -shaft engines. EMS personnel have decades of hands-on and management experience with these engines and allows EMS to provide a holistic, comprehensive array of services to meet Customer key engine needs. EMS does not perform normal day-to-day maintenance but manages major turbo-engine events for Customers such as OH, HSI and major repairs. To complement our management services, EMS offers detailed engine borescope inspections/reviews, Reduce-to-Spares (RTS) and parts reselling, as well as, engines exchanges and outside brokerage sales of turbo-engines and aircraft. Major engine events are not routine and are significant in regards to engine and aircraft ownership. During these major events, some Customers depend on the engine facility from the beginning to end for cost estimates and advice. For EMS Customers, EMS performs the interaction and coordination with the engine facilities to obtain quotes and understand the options for a specific Customer and their operations. EMS represents the Customers interests and ensures that their investment is maximized and results in a safe and better product. EMS works directly with the engine owner or designated representative such as chief pilot, Director of Maintenance (DOM), executive manager, contracted local operator or FBO. EMS obtains the pertinent project information such as quotes, engine condition, bulletins and tendencies for review with these individuals to discuss expectations and options. EMS arms the Customer with P&W engine knowledge to assist the Customer in making informed decisions.
