Answer: Mission: Our mission is to create research-based, globally recognized credentials, training standards, and networking opportunities for family life coaches. Vision: Our vision is to elevate and lend credibility to the practice of family life coaching by serving as the collaborative center for the field. Brief History: Approximately two years ago, a number of family professionals began conversations around parent & family coaching. Initially known as Family and Parent Coaching Exploratory Committee (FAPCEC), a group of 10-15 professionals around the country began the process of assessing various aspects of coach training programs and those who practiced family or parent coaching. FLCA was born in October, 2015 and a small group of us have continued working on this topic in an effort to present it to the broader professional field YOU! Families across the country deserve quality professionals providing consistent, research-based coaching strategies. We would be happy to have you join us to make this happen. We are currently accepting memberships through the website. As a member, you will receive quarterly updates, be able to participate in conference calls and webinars (see below for listing), and be listed on our website if you offer coaching services (coming soon). We also welcome your involvement in any of the committees.
