Answer: The purpose of the IASC, Inc. shall be to provide leadership training and opportunities focusing on education, service and character development for local student councils and their members in the State of Indiana. Our misssion is to deliver the purpose stated above, the IASC, Inc. shall establish five divisions, these being the Indiana Association of Student Councils High School Division, the Indiana Association of Student Councils Middle Level Division, the Indiana Association of Student Council Elementary Division, the Indiana Association of Student Councils Adviser Programming Division and the Indiana Association of Student Councils Alumni Division. We offer various programming for all levels. Our Student Leaders of Indiana Summer Workshop is for Elementary, Middle, and High school levels. The grade levels run 5th grade through 12th. The workshop offers four levels of experience. The workshop, also known as summer camp, is staffed by adult and junior counselors. Regional workshops are offered for the high school division in the North, Central, and Southern parts of the state. State Convention is in the fall and is offered for the Middle and High School Divisions. Representative Assembly is in late winter or early spring. Middle and High School Divisions gather to campaign, caucus, and elect the following years' leadership on the executive committee. We have an advisor's conference in September and advisor networking at State Convention. There are various Elementary Division workshops throughout the course of the academic year.
