Answer: Welcome to Just Media's LinkedIn page, where storytelling meets social justice. At Just Media, we're more than an organization; we're a national movement amplifying the voices of young storytellers. Our mission is to reshape the narrative around policing and criminal justice reform, issues that are defining our generation and demand urgent attention. We envision a world where the media reflects the true stories of those directly impacted by justice issues. Our goal is to ensure that young Black and brown voices are not just heard, but are leading the conversation. Our Approach: Fellowships: We empower young writers, especially from Black and brown communities, with training and support to publish impactful stories. Our fellows are not just writers; they're changemakers who bring their lived experiences to the forefront of media. Editorial Partnerships: As a co-publisher, we collaborate with newsrooms to develop and place stories that matter. Our work ranges from local investigations to national narratives, all with a focus on cultural commentary and justice organizing. Media Support: We're building a network of frontline organizations and journalists through training, editorial support, and events like our Southern Justice Media Training series. It's about creating a community that can collectively push for change. Our Impact: In just three years, we've seen: Over 100 frontline groups join our Justice Media Trainings. 52 young writers thrive in our paid fellowship programs. Stories published in partnership with 14 media outlets.
