As the largest and most established specialty transloader in the Pacific Northwest, MacMillan-Piper has provided reliable, quality service to customers around the world for more than 50 years. MacMillan-Piper operates five facilities near the Ports of Seattle and Tacoma. Each one has unique physical characteristics, allowing for shipment of a variety of freight via rail and/or truck. MP has more than 380,000 square feet of warehouse space, 100 dock doors and 80 railcar spots available. Our Seattle and Tacoma facilities each specialize in transloading a wide range of products, such as lumber, paper, bentonite, refrigerated cargo, steel, and dry bulk commodities. MacMillan-Piper is a designated U. S. Customs Examination Station (CES) for the Port of Seattle, which allows us to expedite cargo clearance for importers and exporters. MP also operates USDA-certified food-grade warehouses in both Seattle and Tacoma.
