Here, an ambitious corps of graduate-level creative communications students conceive and create the near impossible every day, year-round, as they have for over 35 years. The school was the first of its kind, and its also the most progressive. We continuously evolve our curriculum to stay ahead of a dynamic industry, driven by cultural shifts and technological innovation. Students of design, interactive design, art direction, writing, illustrations, and photography work together in classes and on projects for clients such as Coca-Cola, The Cartoon Network, The Weather Channel, Nike, and Apple. They birth ad campaigns, restaurant concepts, websites, childrens books, museum installments, corporate identities, and an endless list of Other Things. Then they go to work for those companies, as well as for companies like Abercrombie & Fitch, Starbucks, Tesla, and the NBA. In fact, with a placement rate around 98 percent, our students and graduates work is in the public eye every day, touching all the ways we live, from restaurants to voting booths, from computers to airlines, from books to social spaces. Portfolio Center graduates create and affect just about every kind of man-made thing bought, used, or seen. And beyond the actual creative work, our graduates are prepared to make presentations, manage projects and people, and cooperate effectively in teams. In short, they are taught to be leaders.
