Queens Farm is an important service provider to a healthy ecosystem. Its growing fields, livestock, compost site and regenerative farming methods optimize the site, making it a leader in the ecological well-being of NYC and a model for teaching and research. Queens Farm is home to the largest, single apiary in New York City and hosts a live BeeCam to feature NYC's busiest honeybees. Each year, visitors representing the diversity of New York City and beyond learn and advocate through all aspects of Queens Farm. Queens Farm has welcomed over 10 million visitors since 1975 when the cultural nonprofit that manages and interprets the site was established.
