Answer: Established in 1998, Youth Outlook is Illinois first and longest-running nonprofit social services agency solely dedicated to supporting LGBTQ+ youth. We offer services that impact the whole of the LGBTQ+ youth experience self, home, school, and community. We work in seven counties in Illinois, offering virtual and in-person drop-in centers for youth ages 12-20, age-appropriate programming for LGBTQ+ children grades K-6, caregiver and parent support, community education, and professional development. The need for these services has never been more urgent. National research indicates that LGBTQ+ youth are coming out at an average age of 13, down from 19 about a decade ago, opening them up to victimization and rejection they are not equipped to handle and putting them at risk for poor mental health outcomes. We invite you to join us in helping LGBTQ+ youth feel safe, supported, and celebrated!
