Answer: Global Brigades empowers communities in Honduras, Panama, Nicaragua, and Ghana to drive their own development through a holistic model of health and economic programs. Our catalyst for change is driven by passionate student leaders from around the world who lead 7-10 day brigades to fund and help implement our holistic programs. Our skill-based volunteer opportunities provide a unique experience for students and professionals to engage in hands-on international development work. Since 2004, more than 10,000 annual volunteers, from over 500 chapters worldwide, have provided health and economic development solutions to more than 300,000 beneficiaries. Between brigades, our full-time local teams continuously work with communities to perpetuate development and continue making progress. Our ultimate goal is to sustainably transition from communities and evolve our partnerships from program implementation to guidance and follow-up.
