Answer: Anvil Works metal studio is the forge and workshop of artist-blacksmith Lee W. Badger. The shop was designed and built in 1998, and expanded in 2005, to be a creative space for his work as a designer-craftsman in metals. The work space is designed to be flexible and adaptable to the needs of the projects underway. In 2008 and again in 2014 specialized equipment was acquired with financial assistance from the WV Division of Culture & History and the National Endowment for the Arts. At Anvil Works, the focus is on hot-worked metal, primarily iron and steel, but non-ferrous metals and sheet metals are often included in the variety of work. Many different types of artistic shaping, bending, twisting, forming, joining and hammering can be accomplished here. Mr. Badger pursues a variety of creative and unique personal projects combining a variety of modern and traditional metal crafts, primarily interior and architectural features and public art sculpture.
