💼 Compensation Structure
Each SDR earns a base salary plus a per-held-appointment commission. The initial commission rate typically starts at $250 per held appointment and is structured to achieve commission equilibrium — where the SDR's monthly commission aligns with their base salary under consistent, high-quality performance.
During the first 90 days, the rate is calibrated collaboratively between the Client, Growth Manager, and SDR to determine a fair, sustainable structure based on actual appointment volume, response rates, and the effort required to execute the full SDR workflow — including research, outreach, and communication quality.
An SDR who reaches their defined performance target per campaign would earn a monthly commission roughly equal to their base salary, maintaining a balanced compensation model.
⚖️ Equilibrium Calibration
The per-appointment commission may vary significantly depending on real-world outcomes. It can be higher or lower than the starting rate based on the appointment difficulty, conversion rate, and total achievable appointment volume.
The purpose of the calibration period is to identify a true equilibrium rate — whether that turns out to be $50, $250, $700, or another value — that ensures fairness, predictability, and sustainability for both the SDR and the client.
- Calibration period (first 90 days): Commission rates are adjusted as performance data accumulates.
- Performance targets: Each campaign defines a realistic appointment target (e.g., 2, 5, 10, or 15 appointments/month) based on its market dynamics.
- Post-calibration: Once equilibrium is established, the rate is fixed to maintain consistent monthly outcomes for both sides.
Note: All adjustments require mutual agreement between the Client, Growth Manager, and SDR to ensure transparency, fairness, and shared success.
