Answer: Located on 60-acres of rolling wooded hills, Caponi Art Park and Learning Center showcases sculptures by retired artist-in-residence, Anthony Caponi. The natural and man-made beauty of Caponi Art Park serves as a welcoming and distinct setting for cultural performances and art education programming in both the Sculpture Garden and Theater in the Woods. National, regional and local artists put on a variety of diverse programs including music, theater, storytelling and dance performances. Miles of wooded trails offer a unique setting for guided and self-guided tours to learn about displayed artworks and the history of the Art Park. The unique, natural setting of the Art Park is popular among amateur and professional photographers; finding it to be a great place to capture outdoor senior or family photos or group shots for homecoming and weddings. An annual amateur photo contest is run during the park's season from May to October. Couples looking for an outdoor venue to exchange or renew their wedding vows can look to Caponi Art Park. The natural beauty of mother nature provides the decor. Its Theater in the Woods amphitheater, a 50-foot circular paved surface, provides the stage for a ceremony. More intimate locations can also be found in the Sculpture Garden or around the Art Park. True to our mission to make art accessible for all, admission to the park and its performance programs is free with suggested donations encouraged to maintain quality programs and the natural landscape. When discovering the Art Park, people can connect with art, nature and each other that helps them nurture and restore the human spirit and inspire creativity.
