Tungsten Disulfide's & Molybdenum Disulfide's exceptional lubricities virtually eliminate friction. Less friction prevents galling, cold welding, and seizure in bearings, gears, pistons, threads and fasteners. With a uniquely thin coating WS2 & MoS2 are able to coat the tiniest of parts without affecting dimensions or performance. AMS 2530A is the most recent specification for applying Tungsten Disulfide that supersedes the DOD-L-85645 specification per notice 3 dated November 23rd, 2020 . The specification explicitly states all parts must be coated using high velocity impingement bonding to a maximum of .5 microns on the substrate while not using binders or volatile organic compounds; this means tumbling and burnishing are not acceptable ways to apply the coating. We provide a certification that all parts were coated to the AMS2530A specification with every order. AMS 2526D is the most recent specification for applying Molybdenum Disulfide. The specification explicitly states all parts must be coated using high velocity impingement bonding to a maximum of 5 microns on the substrate. We provide a certification that all parts were coated to the AMS 2526D specification with every order.
