Answer: We work to build communities in which all adults are empowered to transform their relationships. We accomplish this by creating safe spaces for adults to learn, practice, and activate trauma-informed care and social-emotional learning. We partners with communities in 3 ways: Surviving to Thriving - We provide courses and workshops to anyone living or working with children and youth, including educators, caregivers, family members, youth workers, and other community leaders. Trainings are appropriate for those who may or may not have a background in trauma-informed care and social-emotional learning. Professionals have utilized this training for professional development. Coaching and Consulting - We offer specialized services to schools, nonprofits, and other institutions seeking to launch their own strategies and programs for trauma-informed care and social-emotional learning. Key objectives include strategic planning for program design, implementation, and performance evaluation, as well as on-going professional development for leadership and staff. Mental Health First Aid Certification - This international course is designed to teach adults how to help someone experiencing mental health or addictions challenges, or who are in crisis. Mental Health First Aiders must recertify every 3 years. Groups & organizations may request training. We are devoted to: Ongoing learning Equity and inclusion Respect for diversity Integrity Compassion Creating safe spaces for growth & development Prioritizing meaningful relationships with one another Challenging negative stereotypes about mental and behavioral health
