Answer: Victory College Prep (VCP) opened in August 2005 on the Southeast side of Indianapolis with the goals of serving all students in the city. VCP is a public, K-12 charter school and serves approximately 900 students. The mission of Victory College Prep is to prepare students with the academic and social-emotional skills necessary to success in college, career, and life. We use a restorative approach to discipline and develop the whole child in our school. We leverage relationships and social skill development to ensure that all students graduate prepared to solve problems, work collaboratively, and persevere in the world. All students in grades 7-12 participate in a daily advisory program for 50 minutes. Staff advisors remain with their students throughout their entire high school career and focus on developing social-emotional skills, academic development, and college-and-career advising.
